Sean was born and raised in the small town of Rupert, West Virginia. With an inherent curiosity of the outdoors and Tintin inspired lust for adventure, Sean dreamed of exploring as much of the world as he could. As a teenager, Sean spent countless hours browsing through his family’s home computer copy of Encarta ‘95, fueling his desire for education through experience.
Sean is a Veteran of the United States Army and served a 13 month tour of duty in Iraq from ‘03-‘04. Uncomfortable experiences taught Sean the importance and value of empathy, and inspired a calling to selfless service.
Sean currently works for Yosemite National Park.
Sean was introduced to Rally for Rangers in 2017, by Tom Medema, and he’s been dreaming of the opportunity to participate in a Rally himself.
Sean spends much of his free time in the Sierra Nevada, either hiking, camping or riding his Honda CB500X. In 2022, Sean rode 2,500 kilometers of northern Vietnam’e remote trails and roads.
To date, Sean has visited 37 countries and each one has imparted vital knowledge and experience to him. Sean is honored to have been selected for a Rally and is elated to help support the Rally for Rangers mission of empowering park rangers all over the world.
